In recent years Mels held various exhibitions with Jewish scenes. Using as a title: ‘’Sluyser and Sluyser” , the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam presented his paintings together with historical objects from the legacy of his diseased father Meyer Sluyser. Museums and galeries in many parts of The Netherlands presented Mels Sluyser’s paintings, who also exibited with a gallery at the world-famous PAN Art Show in Amsterdam. Museum cards showing his paintings were sold in bookstores all over Holland.
